About the Collaborators

The Career Pathways Effect: Linking Education and Economic Prosperity is a joint collaboration of the Center for Occupational Research and Development (CORD) and the National Association of State Directors of Career Technical Education Consortium (NASDCTEc).

CORD

The Center for Occupational Research and Development (CORD) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to leading change in education. Since 1979, we have created educational tools and innovative programs to empower faculty and prepare students for greater success in careers and higher education. We work with school districts, colleges, state departments of education, state community college systems, and educational organizations in other countries to provide solutions tailored to meet local/regional education and workforce needs. CORD’s National Career Pathways Network (NCPN) supports career pathways practitioners across the country through publications, conferences, and technical assistance.

NASDCTEc

The National Association of State Directors of Career Technical Education Consortium (NASDCTEc) was established in 1920 to represent the state and territory heads of secondary, postsecondary and adult career technical education (CTE) across the nation. NASDCTEc, through leadership, advocacy and partnerships, aims to support an innovative CTE system that prepares individuals to succeed in education and their careers, and poises the United States to flourish in a global, dynamic economy. NASDCTEc supports visionary state leadership, cultivates best practices and speaks with a collective voice on national policy to promote academic and technical excellence that ensures a career ready workforce.
